  • FDA Commissioner Stephen Hahn cautioned that while we need to ramp up testing (both diagnostic and antibody), it’s important to ensure their accuracy. Antibody tests, which detect whether someone has already been exposed to COVID-19 and may have immunity, can be one of the keys to getting the country back on its feet. • The U.S. Senate will meet Monday for a pro forma session. Governors from both parties are calling for more federal aid given to their states. On Thursday, Republicans attempted to pass an additional $250 billion for the Paycheck Protection Program. Democrats are calling for additional money for hospitals and local governments and want to see some of the $250 billion in small business aid being directed to underserved communities. Republican leaders are stating that they’ll only support increases in funding for small businesses and that Democrats should wait to address other issues.
