The Pittsburgh Sumit 2009 brought the leaders of the "Group of 20" nations to our region at the invitation of President Barak Obama. Together with Allegheny County and the City of Pittsburgh, the Allegheny Conference on Community Development and VisitPittsburgh to formed The Pittsburgh G-20 Partnership to welcome the world to our region.
November 2010 Changing Gears, a public radio project about the future of the Industrial Midwest recently held up Pittsburgh as a case study in a four-part series that examined the region as a successful transformation model. "Reinventing Pittsburgh" was broadcast in the Ann Arbor, Chicago and Cleveland markets.
