Pittsburgh G-20 Summit: Global Leaders to Discuss the World Economy in Pittsburgh
The White House recently announced that the next summit for Group of Twenty (G-20) leaders will be held in Pittsburgh on September 24-25, 2009 at the David L. Lawrence Convention Center. Why Pittsburgh? “It’s an area that has seen its share of economic woes in the past, but because of foresight and investment is now renewed – giving birth to renewed industries that are creating the jobs of the future,” said White House Press Secretary Robert Gibbs during his March 28 White House press briefing.
