orld energy demand is projected to increase by at least 35% by 2030. To meet global demand the world must produce more energy and get smarter about how it uses energy.
Places that create, commercialize and provide energy-related solutions will flourish in the 21st-century.

The Greater Pittsburgh regions ranks among the nation's top 25 employers in each of seven energy-related sectors: coal, natural gas, nuclear, solar, wind, transmission & distribution and intelligent building.

Today, we are home to more than 700 firms in the global energy supply chain. Together they support some 105,000 jobs (directly/indirectly) and generate $13.7 billion in annual economic activity.
