Neither heavy rain nor even a tornado warning could dampen the spirit of the crowd that turned out for the final leg of the American Eagle Outfitters® Tour of Pennsylvania Presented by Highmark Healthy High 5® in downtown Pittsburgh on Sunday, June 29. The cheers of fans along the route through the city streets carried the elite field of young, international cyclists to the finish line after a historic six-day trek across the Commonwealth. The event – the first of its kind in the United States and with the richest purse in the world for cyclists under age 25 – was the first of three signature events that are part of the yearlong Pittsburgh 250 celebration.
