The Greater Pittsburgh Chamber of Commerce is the advocacy arm of the Allegheny Conference on Community Development and its Affiliates, focusing its efforts on four priority areas that are most critical to the region’s economic competitiveness.

Chamber advocacy efforts of are time sensitive in nature. Therefore, your immediate support and involvement is requested.

To further the Conference agenda for regional improvement on an ongoing basis and to ensure that you are kept informed as issues as issues develop, become a Regional Investor if you have not already and sign-up to receive Conference publications and announcements.

Business Climate

Competitive Business Taxes
Join CompetePA – a statewide coalition of more than 100 businesses and business organizations focused on improving our business tax climate. The Coalition focuses specifically on eliminating the cap on net operating loss carryforwards and introducing a single sales factor apportionment formula, structural deficiencies of the Corporate Net Income tax. The Allegheny Conference on Community Development is a founding organization of CompetePA, and many of our Regional Investors are also CompetePA coalition members.

Pittsburgh Regional Compact
The Pittsburgh Regional Compact is an employer-educator partnership designed to develop our region’s workforce for 21st-century jobs. The Compact engages regional employers, educators and program providers in a coordinated partnership to prepare southwestern Pennsylvania students for successful careers in the region. The Compact’s coordinated approach to career education will make southwestern Pennsylvania a model for developing a highly skilled workforce – the most important element in modern economic growth.
